
Teri Lynn Hatcher was the daughter of Teri Hatcher, who was born in Palo Alto California on December 8, 1964. Her mother Esther was a Lockheed Martin computer programmer, while her father Owen was an electrical engineer, nuclear physicist. Teri was raised by Esther. Teri was born in Sunnyvale and attended ballet classes at the San Juan School of Dance. Fremont High School was her homeschool. She was the captain of the Featherettes dancing team and was named "Most likely" to become a Solid Gold Dancer. Hatcher graduated from De Anza College, where she took classes in engineering and math. She also attended acting classes in San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater. Teri disclosed that her uncle Richard Hayes Stone had sexually attacked her since the age of 5. She also helped Santa Clara County prosecutors in their case against Stone after Stone's 14-year-old victim committed suicide. Stone was sentenced in prison for four counts pleading in guilty pleas to molestation. While in prison, he passed away from colon cancer.
