LadyShe tried unsuccessfully to contact record companies for support but things were about to alter when she met Rob Fusari, a music producer. He was supportive of her musical career and they formed a solid working relationship that led to a close friendship. It was Fusari who chose her stage name, Lady Gaga, in memory of the hit song Radio Gaga by Queen, one of Stefani's top groups. Akon who knew Lady Gaga well and was her songwriter, witnessed her perform at an acclaimed occasion and offered her the opportunity to sign a contract with his recording label Kon Live Distribution. Gaga agreed to the deal. Thus began Lady Gaga to be known as a performer. Fusari, RedOne, and Martin Kierszenbaum were her producers at the time.
