Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in the year 1980. Her birthplace and childhood was in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) and is Nurse as well as Tom Bell, a television news director. She has Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen discovered her passion for entertainment from a young age. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after having attended her first audition. Bell was signed by her mother as an agent when she was just thirteen years old. Then, she was cast for newspaper ads and TV commercials. As well as having private lessons in acting, she launched her career at that time. Bell had an uncredited role in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell studied at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz was presented by the high school, and she was awarded the role as Dorothy. Following graduation, Bell made the move in New York City to attend prestigious Tisch School of the Arts and studied musical theater. Bell left the school in 2001, and assumed the role of Becky the character of Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell made her debut on the credit screen with the role of Becky Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however the film cut her character from the film and she only appears on the screen credits. The year 2002 saw her first major role. Bell made an appearance on The Crucible, a Broadway version of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
